Members-only Weekend Lectures

 The Metropolitan Museum is pleased to announce the following lectures planned especially for Museum Members, to be given in the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium. Tickets are not required; Members must show their Membership card at the entrance to the auditorium to be admitted.

January 9, 2010 Peter Barnet, Michel David-Weill Curator in Charge, Medieval Art and The Cloisters, MMA
 New Acquisitions and Gallery Renovations in Medieval Art and The Cloisters In November 2008, the Mary and Michael Jaharis Galleries for Byzantine Art and the Medieval Europe Gallery reopened to the public. The Cloisters, the branch of the MMA devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe has been undergoing renovation for several years. Mr. Barnet will discuss these projects and a number of recent medieval acquisitions.
